Mr. Jones, 80, died June 25, 2000, at a local hospital. He retired from civil service at Fort Carson after 26 years. He served in the Army for 10 years.
Mr. Jones was born May 5, 1920, in Aberdeen, S.D., to David C. and Eileen (Lindgren) Jones, who are deceased. He was married in February 1950 to Frances M. Goglio.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.
