    February 12, 1927 ~ August 26, 2017 (age 90)
    Anna (nee Wdowiak) Treuer, 90, of Clifton, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017. Born and raised in Garfield, Mrs. Treuer resided in Clifton for most of her life. She had been an active parishioner at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton for 48 years. Mrs. Treuer was a member of the St. Philip's Prime Timers where she enjoyed time with her friends. Though, she most enjoyed spending time with her family. She devoted her life to caring for family and dear friends in her home.
    Mrs. Treuer was predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin L. Treuer in 2002; two brothers, John and Joseph Doviak and one sister, Helen Komsa.

    Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:45 am from the funeral home and 11:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers New Jersey, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251 Denville, NJ 07834.

    Port Ewen, N.Y. Helen Komsa, a resident of Port Ewen, formerly of Middletown, died peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 83. The daughter of the late Conrad and Rose Gola Doviak, she was born October 8, 1920 in Garfield, N.J. Helen married Roman Komsa in September of 1941 in Garfield, N.J. She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Middletown until she relocated to Port Ewen two years ago. A family statement reads, Helen was a kind and patient woman. She loved her family and children and believed a loving family conquers all. She had a wonderful personality and was a great listener. She was also a great cook. She was predeceased by her husband, Roman on March 23, 1999.
